Study Plannable per Part

Explanation

The Availability Check and Availability Check per Day tabs of the Inventory Part Availability Planning window are used as an aid for studying the supply and demand for a specific part. They display all incoming purchase or shop orders and all outgoing customer orders or sales quotations that are released for planning and that have been entered to date.

Prerequisites

The part must be an inventory part or an inventory registered sales part, and either purchased or manufactured at the factory of your own.

System Effects

There are no system effects; the purpose of this window is to indicate the availability of the part.

Procedure

From the Customer Order/Order Lines tab, Sales Quotation/Quotation Lines tab or Handle Customer Order Shortages window:

  1. Populate the window or perform a query to find the order/quotation line(s).
  2. Select the desired order/quotation line(s), right-click and then click Inventory Part Availability Planning. The Inventory Part Availability Planning window opens.
  3. Study the information displayed in the Availability Check and Availability Check per Day tabs.

From the Inventory Part Availability Planning window:

  1. Populate the window or query for a part.
  2. Click the Availability Check and Availability Check per Day tabs to study the information displayed.
