Enter Customer Order Template
Explanation
This activity is used to create customer order templates, which can help simplify entering
sales quotations or customer orders. Instead of entering all the order lines manually,
you can choose to
use a template listing the parts and quantities that the customer usually buys
or rents.
This facilitates faster and more efficient order entry.
When using templates, you can select the suggested
lines from any of the following:
- From a predefined template (entered in Customer
Order Template).
- From the customer's latest order
- From what the customer ordered during a specific period
- From a specific order number
You can connect a default template to a customer in the
Customer/Order/Misc Customer
Info tab. You can also add a template directly on the
customer order by choosing Customer Order Template from the Operations menu
in the Customer Order window.
Prerequisites
This activity has the following prerequisites:
- Sales parts must have been entered.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- A template with customer order lines is created.
- The template can be used when customer order lines are added to a customer
order to quickly fill in regularly ordered parts and quantities.
- The values that default from the template can be modified in the order
line.
- Depending on if the line is a sales or a rental,
order lines will be created in the corresponding tab on the customer order.
