Create Customer Price Group

Explanation

Use this optional activity to create customer price groups. The customer price group is used to group a number of customers with similar characteristics regarding pricing and then connect this group to different price lists. You can connect the same price list to different currencies by adding more records in the Customer Price Group window. The customers are connected to the customer price group in the Customer window.

Prerequisites

This activity has the following prerequisites:

• A sales price group must have been entered in the Sales Basic Data/Sales Price Group tab.
• Price lists must have been entered in the Sales Price List window.
• The user must have access to the owning company of the sales price list or at least one user site on the sales price list.

System Effects

As result of this activity:

• A customer price group is created.
• The customer price group is then used in the Customer window to connect the customer to a specific customer price group.

Procedure

1. Open the Customer Price Group window, and populate, if desired, to view existing customer price groups.
2. With the cursor in the Cust Price Group field, select New.
3. Using no more than 10 alphanumeric characters, enter a customer price group.
4. Enter a description for the customer price group.
5. In the table area, select a row, then select New.
6. Enter a sales price group either by entering the short code or by using the List of Values. The description will automatically fill in.
7. Using the short code, or the List of Values, enter the currency for which you want to add a price list.
8. Enter a sales price list number either by entering the short code or by using the List of Values. You can only enter sales price lists that are connected to the selected price group and currency.
9. Save the record.
