Handle Pallets on Purchase Order Receipt
Explanation
When the pallets are created in a pallet arrival location, the
number of pallets created depends on the quantity specified as the standard quantity per
pallet on the inventory part. Example: If the standard quantity per pallet is 10 pieces
and 125 parts are received, then 13 pallets are created, i.e., 12 pallets with 10 pieces
on each and 1 pallet with 5 pieces.
You can increase or decrease the number of pallets by using
Create New Pallet in the Operations menu or moving the parts between pallets. If you
create a new pallet and then move the entire quantity on a pallet to this new pallet, the
first pallet is automatically removed when saving this operation.
Prerequisites
- The receipt line must have been entered as arrived and a pallet
arrival location must have been used.
System Effects
The specified quantity is moved to a different pallet or to a
newly created pallet.
