Insert Project ID
Explanation
Create the project in the system by registering the project ID, project name, project description, manager,
company and calendar.
A wizard is available to ease the process of entering the data. The wizard lets
you specify the project details and project milestones, project sites and
project access.
Prerequisites
- A company must exist.
- A calendar must exist. It must be predefined in
Calendar.
- The person to be registered as project manager must have a user ID in
Person.
- If you want to connect a customer, the must be predefined
in
Customer.
System Effects
- A project is created, and you can start creating a
project structure with subprojects, activities, and tasks.
- The project is in Initialized status.
- If project
access was disabled, and all users in the system will have access to all
parts of the system.
- If project access was enabled, the project manager will always have
access to all parts of the project. The sub project manager will always have
access to their own sub project and the sub project structure beneath.
The system has automatically created records in Project/Project Access/Access Definition to grant access to all
teams that have the Access to New Projects checkbox marked in
Project
Team. The access for these and other teams can be modified in
Project/Project Access/Access Definition.
