Control As Budgeted

Explanation

This activity is used to control project costs strictly at the same level of its active budget, thereby eliminating the need for the definition of explicit budget control rules.

Prerequisites

If this control is to be enforced while the cost is being incurred on the project, the budget control should be preliminarily enabled on the project. Budget Control On should be selected in order to select the Control As Budgeted check box.

System Effects

•  All the budget lines will be copied to the budget control rules of the project.
• It is not allowed to add or edit any control rules entered against the particular project.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to control a project as budgeted:

1. Open either the Projects or Project window and query for the required project.
2. Right click and then click Control As Budgeted.
