Enter Standard Jobs

Explanation

Use this activity to connect multiple standard jobs to a preventive maintenance (PM) action. Note: Route standard jobs can only be connected to route PM actions, and separate standard jobs can only be connected to separate PM actions. 

Prerequisites

Information related to standard jobs must exist in IFS/Preventive Maintenance.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, all information regarding operations, materials, tools and facilities, and documents that are entered in a standard job will be copied to the PM action.

Procedure

  1. Open one of the PM action windows (Separate PM Action or Route PM Action).
  2. Create a new record (F5) or query for an existing one (F3).
  3. Click the Jobs tab, and create a new record (F5) or select an appropriate job from the existing job lines.
  4. Enter a value in the Standard Job ID field. Use the List of Values to select a suitable value. 
  5. Enter an appropriate revision in the Revision field if more than one revision exists for the standard job. Use the List of Values to select a suitable value. 
  6. Enter the quantity of the standard job. The value in the Qty field is set to 1 by default.
  7. Save the record (F12).
