Enter Parameters for Event Generation

Explanation

Use this activity to enter an event required to control the PM actions for which you want to generate work orders. These actions can be generated when a specific event occurs. The PM actions with event generation, and which fulfill the conditions, will automatically generate work orders.

Prerequisites

• The criteria for the event maintenance plan for PM generation must have been defined.
• PM Actions should be active and valid.

System Effects

• As a result of this activity, work orders according to the event-based PM actions will be generated for the specific event. The generation is done as a back ground job. All the generated work orders will be available for further preparations along with other regular work orders. For route PM actions the generated work order is set to the WorkRequest status. For separate PM actions, the status of the generated work orders may differ depending on the value of the WO_GEN_INIT_STATE object property. For more information, refer to the Separate Work Order from PM help file.
• In the Work Order and PM Basic Data/Events tab, the Event Count field is updated.

Procedure

1. In the WO Site field, enter the site for which you want to generate work orders
2. In the Event field, click List to select an event for which you want to generate work orders.
3. In the Sequence field, enter the sequence number.
4. Confirm the information.
