Enter Criteria for Condition Generation

Explanation

Use this activity to enter criteria required for condition-based generation of PM actions, i.e., test points and parameters. In this case, you control maintenance actions based on the condition of the equipment, which is in turn determined by measurements of certain previously specified parameters (variables). In order to perform condition-based generation, you should define those parameters first. There are two types of parameters: cumulative and limit values. Limit values are minimum and maximum values for when the PM action is to occur.

Prerequisites

Before the criteria is entered, the following must have been completed:

• Current PM action retrieved in the window.
• In IFS/Equipment, link parameter to equipment object.

System Effects

• As a result of this activity, the test point and parameter will be linked to the PM action.
• If the parameter is cumulative type, condition line is created without planned date in the Maintenance Plan tab and it can be used to generate work orders.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to enter the information:

1. Select the Condition tab. 
2. In the Test Point ID field, select a test point on which measurements are to be taken. Use the list of available values.
3. In the Parameter ID field, select a suitable parameter to be used for measurements.
