Connect Attribute

Explanation

Use this activity to connect permit attributes to a permit type. A permit attribute is some special piece of equipment, a tool, etc., required for the safety of personnel, and also for protection of equipment or facility affected by the work, for instance: hard hat, safety gloves.

Prerequisites

Before the information is entered, the following must have been completed:

• The permit attribute must have been created in Work Order and PM Basic Data.
• The current PM Action must have been retrieved in the Permits tab.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a permit attribute is connected to a permit type.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to enter the information:

1. Mark the work permit in the Permits tab.
2. Select the Attributes operation.
3. Use the New function in the Attributes for Permit Type page.
4. In  the Attribute Code field, use the List of Values to select an appropriate permit attribute.
5. Save the information.
