Use this activity to manually activate a new preventive maintenance action revision (PM action revision) in order to generate work orders. A PM action revision is usually activated once all the preparation and planning have been performed on the PMA revision.
A PM action revision in the Preliminary status should exist in the system.
As a result of this activity, the PM action revision is activated. The previously active revision (if one exists) will be set to obsolete. It is now possible to generate work orders from this PM action revision.
Inventory part demand of the PM action will be posted once the PM action revision is Active and will be eligible for automatic purchase requisition created. If Purchase Requisitions has been created, Order Ref 2 of Purchase Requisition lines will be changed to the new revision and so will be in Purchase Order lines and Part Request lines.
