Define Stop Event Types

Explanation

Use this activity to define the different types of stop events that may occur on a production unit. Stop events are used when reporting production events in IFS/OEE. When a new stop event type is created you need to connect it to an existing system stop event type. This connection is required in order to support APQ calculations. Valid system stop event types are:

Events of type Planned Stop, Unplanned Stop and Line Failure will have an effect on the Availability figure (A figure) of the APQ calculation. Whereas, events of type Short Stop will have an effect on the Performance (P figure) of the APQ calculation. Events of type Production Halted will have an effect on the Total Nominal Runtime. Events of type No Production Loss will not have any effect on the APQ figures.

Note: The level of data entered during the creation of an event will determine how detailed your analysis can be.
