Connect Production Units and Products

Explanation

Use this activity to connect the quality of a product to a particular production unit. This product quality and production unit combination is required when registering new events in the system.

Prerequisites

• Products must have been defined in the Define Products window (setup OEE).
• Qualities must have been defined for the products in the Define Products and Qualities window (setup OEE).
• A production unit must have been defined in the Define Production Units window (setup OEE).

System Effects

• A new connection is created between the quality of a product and a production unit.
• The product quality and production unit combination can be used when registering new events.

Procedure

1. Open the Setup OEE window.
2. Click Connect Production Units and Products to open the Connect Production Units and Products window.
3. You can choose to view a select number of products by filtering the data in the window. In the Filter Products field enter, for instance, the ID of the product you want. Do not enter a value in this field if you want to view all available products in the window.
4. Choose if you want to view production units with APQ follow up or if you want to view all available production units by selecting the appropriate value in the Show Production Units with list.
5. In the chart, select the product/quality and production unit combination you want by clicking on the appropriate box. A green arrow appears in the box once the connection is established.
6. Save the record.
