Spread Fault Code to All Function Levels

Explanation

This activity is used to spread a fault code to all levels in a function structure. One or more function codes can be marked and the fault codes registered on the function will be spread to all levels in the functional structure. This will save a lot of manual registration. If the fault code should not be on every level, this has to be manually deleted after performing this activity.

Prerequisites

Fault functions must have been defined.

System Effects

Fault codes are registered for all the levels in the functional structure by default.

Procedure

1. Open the Operations and Fault Basic Data window. You can also perform this activity by using the Function Structure Navigator window or the Maintenance Program Basic Data window.
2. Click the Fault Function tab or the Fault Codes tab (if you are working in the Function Structure Navigator window).
3. Select the row that holds the fault code that is to be spread to all function level, right-click and then click Spread Fault Code.
4. A message appears informing you that the fault code will be spread to all levels in the function structure. Click Yes.
5. You will receive a message indicating that the fault codes are spread.
