Register OPC Service

Explanation

Use this activity to enable the IFS/OPC Service to be run on the host machine.

Prerequisites

Predefined configuration file.

System Effects

IFS OPC Service 2.0 will be registered in the list of services for the host machine, from where it can be started when necessary.

Procedure

1. Click the Windows Start Menu and select All Programs.
2. Select IFS OPC Client Administrator.
3. Select Register OPC Service. This triggers the command prompt window which registers the IFS/OPC Service as a service on your machine. To verify this, click on the Start Menu, Select Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services and browse for the IFS OPC Service 2.0 in the list of Services.
