Breakdown Recipe

Explanation

This activity is used to breakdown a recipe. You can either do it manually or schedule a batch job to breakdown all recipes at one site.

This can be useful if there are changes in one of the intermediate parts of the recipe. If a breakdown failure occurs, the Breakdown Failed check box will be selected.

System Effects

• The recipe will be broken down to the parts it consists of and the results will be shown in the Recipe Structure/Recipe Structure/Breakdown per Part tab.
• The results of break down of the substances  will be displayed in the Recipe Structure/Recipe Structure/Breakdown per Substance tab.
• The gross content of the recipe will be calculated.
• New calculation of Qty UoM and Qty per Assembly fields for the recipe will be done if the recipe structure alternate is in Tentative or Plannable statuses.
• New calculation of Qty UoM and Qty per Assembly fields for the recipe will NOT be done if the recipe structure alternate is in Buildable status and if the site is simplified, but if the breakdown is done by the right mouse button option for a single recipe there is a calculation of Qty UoM and Qty per Assembly fields if the status is Buildable and the site is simplified.

Procedure

Via the Recipe Structure window:

1. Open the Recipe Structure window and query for the relevant part.
2. Click Recipe Structure tab.
3. Right-click and then click Breakdown Recipe.

Via the Breakdown Recipe Structures dialog box:

1. Open the Breakdown Recipe Structures dialog box.
2. In the Site field under the Parameters area, enter the required site or click List to select one from the List of Values.
3. If you want to schedule, click Schedule and follow the steps.
