Enter Maintenance Codes per Serial Part Revision

Explanation

This activity is used to register maintenance codes for serial part revisions. These maintenance codes are valid to connect to instructions (operations). If a new revision is created for a part, all required maintenance codes must be entered on the new part revision.

Prerequisites

• Serial part revisions must have been defined.
• Maintenance codes must have been defined.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, maintenance codes are registered for a serial part and will be valid to connect to instructions (operations) for the part.

Procedure

Option 01:

1. Open the Maintenance Codes Per Serial Part Revision window and create a new record (F5).
2. In the Part Number field, enter the part number for which you want to register a maintenance code. Use the List of Values to select a valid value.
3. In the Part Revision field, enter the required part revision. Use the List of Values to select a valid value.
4. In the Maint Code field, enter the maintenance code for the part. Use the List of Values to select a valid value.
5. Save the information (F12).

Option 02:

1. Open the Serial Part Revision window and query (F3) for the necessary serial part.
2. Click the Maint Codes tab and create a new record (F5).
3. In the Maint Code field, enter a maintenance code for the part. Use the List of Values to select a valid value.
4. Save the information (F12).
