Copy Operational Parameter Information from a Maintenance Group

Explanation

Use this activity to copy operational parameter information from a maintenance group of a serial part to another maintenance group. Note: You can only copy primary operational parameter information.

Prerequisites

• Maintenance groups must be defined for the serial part.
• A primary operational parameter must have been entered for the serial part before a maintenance group can be entered, and before operational parameter information can be copied.

System Effects

• Operational parameter information will be copied to the selected maintenance group.
• You can register operational log data for all serials belonging to a registered part number and maintenance group.
• The Maintenance Group that have been defined after operational parameters have been defined for a serial part, will automatically receive all defined operational parameters.
• An operational parameter for a maintenance group cannot be removed if serials defined for the part number and maintenance group have operational log entries.
• The operational parameter sequence decides in which order the operational parameters are measured when operational log data is entered.

Procedure

Use this procedure to copy operational parameter information.

1. Open one of the following windows and query (F3) for the serial that contains the maintenance group to which you want to copy a operational parameter.

• Operational Parameters per Maintenance Group
• Serial Part/Oper. Param Per Maint. Group
• Maintenance Plan/Oper. Param per Maint. Group

2. Select the row that contains the part number and maintenance group. Right-click and click Copy Operational Parameters.
3. The Copy Operational Parameters dialog box opens.
4. In the Maint. Group field, click List to select the maintenance group from which you want to copy operational parameter information.
5. Click OK.
