Adjust and Verify Background Job For Due Calculations For Modifications

Explanation

Use this activity to view calculated due dates for modification tasks. You can also use this activity to adjust the execution time of the background job (For more information, refer the online help file: Using Background Jobs). At installation, the server process for due calculations for modifications is set (by default) to execute every day at 8:00 P.M. The background job can also be manually executed per modification.

Prerequisites

Modifications with assigned serials must exist.

• Due dates for modifications are calculated
• Tasks are created.

Procedure

Follow this procedure to view calculated due dates for the modification tasks:

1. Open the Modification Details window and query (F3) for the part number for which your modification is defined.
2. Click the Assign Serials tab.
3. The calculated due dates for the modification tasks is displayed in the Due Date field.
4. To perform a manual calculation, right-click anywhere in the header of the Modification Details window, and then click Calculate.
   Alternatively, this task calculation can be performed in the Define Modification window.
