Replace All Components

Explanation

This activity is used to replace shop order component parts with alternate components. The system replaces the components according to the alternate component setup. You cannot manually pick alternate components.

Prerequisites

Alternate components must exist.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the main components will be replaced with the alternate components. When replacing a main component, the alternate component having the lowest sequence number will be considered first.

Procedure

1. Open the Shop Order window and query for the part number.
2. Click the Material tab.
3. Right-click, point to Alternate Components and then click Replace All. 
   Note: This option will be available only if a sufficient quantity exists for at least one alternate component.
   The shop order components will be replaced with the alternate components.
