Report Labor Operation

Explanation

Use this activity to report labor on shop order operations, i.e., labor setup time and labor operation time.
If the Milestone Operation check box is selected, it indicates that the operation must be reported prior to the succeeding operation and that automatically reporting is not allowed.

This activity contains a Security Checkpoint which can be activated by an administrator. With an activated security checkpoint on a function you will have to authenticate yourself again in order to fulfill the function. Additionally, whenever a security checkpoint is successfully passed a security checkpoint log is written, creating an audit trail of what is done.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that the shop order must have at least Released status.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the system reports any of the labor performed on operations. A Work In Process (WIP) transaction is created.

Procedure

1. In the Shop Order window, right-click and then click Report. This action opens Shop Order Operations Reporting.
2. In the Operations tab, scroll to the Labor Setup to Report field for the operation, then enter the labor setup time. The default value is the setup time remaining to report.
3. In the Labor to Report field for the labor operation, enter the labor operation time. The default value is the labor operation time remaining to report.
4. Right-click and then click Report Time, or you can save.
