Mass Update Shop Order Routings

Explanation

This activity is used to update routings on all shop orders sharing a selected part number, routing type, revision and alternate. You can update to the same revision and alternate, or change to another buildable revision and alternate.

Prerequisites

To perform an update, there should be at least one shop order satisfying the selection criteria. A mass update only affects shop orders in the Planned and Released status.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the operations on the selected shop orders are removed and then copied again from the routings. This is because the operations of the routing may not be the same as when the shop order was created. This also means that the material connected to the operations will lose their operation number in the process. This can be resolved by also running mass update shop order structures via the Mass Update Shop Order Structures dialog box afterwards. Then the material will get their operation numbers back.
