Create CBS Site

Explanation

Use this activity to create a site that can be used by Constraint Based Scheduling (CBS). This activity must be performed in order to set up a site to use Constraint Based Scheduling either via the Scheduling Server or the Advanced Planning Board. This task is to be performed by a system administrator or equivalent person.

Note: Site '*' is not allowed in a CBS installation. 

Prerequisites

This activity requires that a site must have been created in the Site window.

System Effects

As a result of this activity the system creates a site that can be connected to a Scheduling Server or used with the Advanced Planning Board, allowing you to use some or all of the different functions in the Constraint Based Scheduler.

Procedure

  1. Open the Scheduling Basic Data window and create a new record.
  2. In the Site field, enter the short code of the site you want to use as a CBS site, or select one from the List of Values.
  3. Save the information.
