Adjust Split Operations

Explanation

This activity is used to adjust the operation quantities within split operations. Operations material will be connected only to the parent operation even after the split or adjust action.

In APB or CBS server solution enabled sites, if there is a material constraint (finite or always finite material) for the operation and if the operation is split, the material constraint is connected only to the parent operation and split operations will not be constrained by the material constraint.

Prerequisites

To perform this activity, split operations must exist for the shop order.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, operation quantities assigned to the split operations will be redistributed as the user defines.

Procedure

To adjust a split operation using the data view:

1. In the Shop Order window Operation tab, Shop Floor Workbench or Shop Order Operations window search for the shop order operation in which you want to adjust the operation quantities.
2. Select one of the split operations, right-click and click Shop Order Operation Split/Adjust . This will open the Adjust Split Shop Order Operations dialog box with all the split operations connected to the selected operation populated.
3. Redistribute the operation quantities on operations by adjusting the New Qty to Report field.
4. Click OK.

To adjust a split operation using the visualization view:

1. Open a visualizer enabled window and query for the site needed .
2. If the Data View is displayed, click Visualization View on the title bar.
3. Right-click and click Select Visualization. The Select Visualization dialog box is opened.
4. Double-click Shop Order Machine Load or Shop Order Labor Load.
5. Right-click and click Y-Axis/Shop Order Operation.
6. Select the inner segment representing the shop order operation you want to adjust, right-click, point to Shop Order Operation Split and then click Adjust. This will open the Adjust Split Shop Order Operations dialog box with all the split operations connected to the selected operation populated.
7. Redistribute the operation quantities on operations by adjusting the New Qty to Report field.
8. Click OK.
