Refill All Putaway Zones

Explanation

This activity is used to schedule or to directly perform a Refill All Putaway Zones job based on the putaway zone ranking. You can specify the selection criteria to limit which site, warehouse, bay or part needs to be refilled. When running the Refill All Putaway Zones job there will be an evaluation of the locations and the quantity stored at those locations to see if there are locations that better fit the location criteria for the part based on the putaway zone ranking. Depending on which refill source that is set for the part there will be either a transport task or a purchase requisition created to refill the location.

Prerequisites

The inventory part must have a putaway zone ranking if refill source is set to Inventory.

System Effects

Depending on which refill source that is set for the part there will be either a transport task or a purchase requisition created to refill the location. The refill source is set per part in the remote warehouse assortment.

Procedure

You can either perform a Refill All Putaway Zones job directly (procedure A or B) or schedule the task as a background job (procedure C).

A. To perform a Refill All Putaway Zones job directly from the Navigator:

1. Open the Refill All Putaway Zones dialog box.
2. Specify the necessary selection criteria and click OK.

B. To perform a Refill All Putaway Zones job directly from the Warehouse Navigator:

1. Open the Warehouse Navigator window and populate or query for the relevant site.
2. Select the relevant warehouse.
3. Right-click on the warehouse header and then click Refill All Putaway Zones.
4. Specify the necessary selection criteria and click OK.

C. To schedule the Refill All Putaway Zones job as a background job:

1. Click Schedule to open the New Database Task Schedule window. Set the scheduling parameters as required and save. Scheduled tasks can be seen in the Scheduled Database Tasks window.
