Define Condition Codes

Explanation

Use this activity to define condition codes for use with serial and/or lot/batch tracked parts. Condition codes are user-defined values which are used to indicate the condition of the selected part. Codes can be defined, for example, for new, rebuilt, repaired, unserviceable, or a variety of other conditions.

System Effects

The values entered on the Condition Code tab of the Part Basic Data window will be used to indicate the condition of serial and lot/batch tracked parts for which condition code functionality is enabled. Only the values entered in this tab will be available in the List of Values in various windows and tabs throughout IFS Applications. One of the entered condition codes will appear as the default. Once a code has been connected to any part record, it cannot be removed. The description and values for the other fields can be modified, however.

Condition code values can be changed for serial and lot/batch tracked parts in only a limited number of windows. In most windows, the condition code value cannot be modified.
