Change Condition Code
Explanation
Use this activity to change the condition code of an individual serial part
or all parts of the same lot/batch part number combination. If the part is serial tracked,
the condition code will only be changed for that specific serial part. If the
part is lot batch tracked, but not serial tracked, the condition code will be
changed for all parts with the specified part number and lot batch combination.
If the part is both lot batch tracked and serial tracked, the condition code
will not be stored on the lot batch master, and can only be changed on the the individual serial
records.
Prerequisites
- Condition codes must exist in the Part
Basic Data/Condition Codes tab.
- The part(s) for which you want to change the condition code must be serial
and/or lot batch tracked.
- Condition codes must be enabled for the specific part number in the
Part/General tab.
System Effects
- Inventory transactions will be created for the parts
in stock, changing the value from the old condition to the new condition.
- The new condition code entered for the specific part(s) will be used for
all subsequent transactions for the part.
- If the inventory part cost level Cost per Condition is
used, changing the condition code will result in an inventory re-valuation of the
parts from the old condition value to the new condition value.
