Define Storage Requirement Groups

Explanation

Use this activity to define storage requirement groups. There are three different types of groups: Capacity, Condition and Capability. These groups are used to define values for a group of parts, making it easier to handle parts having the same storage requirements.

For capacity groups, it is possible to define storage requirement values for dimensions, volume and weight. For condition groups it is possible to define storage requirement values for temperature and humidity. For capability groups it is possible to define storage requirement values that consists of user-defined capabilities.

Storage requirement groups are then connected to part catalog records and inherited to the related inventory part. It is possible to make changes and exceptions on the lower levels of detail.
