Close Distribution Order

Explanation

This activity is used to close a distribution order. This may be useful if you know that the delivered parts have been received against another purchase order, i.e., typically when an over delivery has been registered.

When an order has been closed, it receives the Closed status, and no further transactions can be performed.

Prerequisites

• The distribution order must be in the In Transit status.
• The customer order line must have been fully delivered, i.e., in status Delivered or Invoiced/Closed.

System Effects

• The status will be changed to Closed, and further transactions cannot be performed.
• The connected purchase order line will be canceled.

Procedure

1. Query for the appropriate order.
2. Select the order, right-click and then click Close.
3. Click OK.
