Change Operational Condition for Serial

Explanation

This activity is used to change the operational condition for a serial. At the same time, you can choose to change the operational condition of all serials in the selected structure.

Prerequisites

To perform this activity, the serials for which the operational condition is to be changed must have an operational status of either Not Applicable or Out of Operation.

System Effects

• The operational condition of the serial is changed to either Operational or Non Operational.
• Depending on your selection, the operational condition of all serials in the selected structure will also be changed to the new value.

Procedure

1. Open the Part Serial window and populate (F2) or search (F3) for the relevant part number and serial number.
2. Right-click and click Change Operational Condition. The Change Operational Condition dialog box opens.
3. Select the required operational condition from the New Operational Condition list.
4. If you want the new operational condition to be extended to all serials in the selected structure, select the Change Operational Condition of the Structure check box. This check box is selected by default. Clear the check box if the operational condition is to only be changed on the selected serial.
