Specify Tools and Facilities for Instruction and Subtask

Explanation

This activity is used to specify the tools and facilities that will be utilized per instruction or subtask.

For each instruction or subtask, you must enter the tools and facilities that you anticipate will be used during the operation. A tool can, for instance, be an x-ray machine to discover cracks on the vehicle body. An example of a facility would be a hangar required to perform the maintenance. Tools and facilities can be defined for both the instruction and connected subtasks. An exception is that the same tool/facility ID cannot be reserved for both the instruction and a connected subtask.

The tools and facilities specified for an instruction or subtask are not connected to a site because at this point you may not know which workshop will perform each operation. You will connect the tools and facilities to a site when they are actually used for a maintenance task.
