Set Modification Revision Obsolete

Explanation

This activity is used to set a modification revision obsolete. It is not possible to comply with a modification revision that has been set obsolete. You can however decomply the modifications that are in the Obsolete status. 

Prerequisites

• The modification revision should be in the Active status.
• The modification revision should not be referenced by other modification that are in either the Preliminary or Active status as a Mandatory reference.

System Effects

• The modification revision is set to the Obsolete status.
• All pending tasks with a modification execution type of either Initial Inspection, Continued Inspection or Terminating Action will be removed. 
• All pending tasks with the modification execution type Decomply will not be deleted.

Procedure

1. Open the Define Modification window and query (F3) for the modification revision which is to be set to obsolete.
2. Right-click anywhere in the header, point to Status, and then click Set Obsolete.
