Define Subtasks for Instructions

Explanation

This activity is used to connect a subtask to an instruction. You can choose to create and connect a subtask or to connect an existing subtask to the instruction. Subtasks are used to describe how the instruction should be performed. It is possible to connect several subtasks to an instruction. When a subtask is connected to an instruction, the following rules apply:

As a result of this activity, subtasks will be connected to an instruction. If the subtask being connected does not already exist, the subtask will be created. The subtasks will once again be transferred to the work order together with instructions.

Procedure

  1. Open the Instruction window.
  2. Populate (F2) or query (F3) for the desired instruction.
  3. Click the Subtasks tab and then click the Subtasks sub tab.
  4. Create a new record (F5).
  5. In the Subtask ID field, enter the ID of the subtask. If you are connecting an existing subtask, use the List of Values to select a valid value.
  6. If you are connecting an existing subtask, you can complete the procedure by clicking OK.
  7. For new subtasks, enter a description of the subtask in the Subtask Description field.
  8. In the Competence field, enter the required competence. Use the List of Values to select a valid value.
  9. In the No of Persons field, enter the number of persons required to perform the subtask.
  10. In the Hour Consumption field, enter the hour consumption.
  11. In the Work Description field, enter a description of the work to be done.
  12. Save the record (F12).
