Decide if the Modification should be performed for the Serial

Explanation

This activity is used to decide if the active modification revision is to be performed on the assigned serial or not.

Prerequisites

• A modification must have been defined. This modification must be in the Active status.
• The modification task for the assigned serial cannot be a running task.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the system will perform a due calculation in order to update the pending task list.

• If the modification performance was changed from To be performed to Not to be performed for the serial, the pending task will be removed.
• If the modification performance was changed from Not to be performed to To be performed for the serial, a pending task is created if the task is due within the given number of forewarning days.

Procedure

1. Open the Modification Details window and query (F3) for the modification revision you want.
2. Click the Assign Serials tab.
3. Select the row that contains the serial on which the modification performance is to be changed, right-click and then click Change Perform Modification.
4. Observe that the value in the Perform Modification field is changed.

Note: This procedure may be performed using the Assigned Serials window as well.
