Define FMEA Failures

Explanation

Use this activity to enter information about one or more FMEA failures related to the selected design or process FMEA function.

A design FMEA failure can be defined as the manner the function could potentially fail to meet or deliver the intended function. A process FMEA failure can be defined as the manner in which the process could potentially fail to meet the process requirements and/or design intent as described by the associated function.

Prerequisites

This activity requires the existence of at least one structure or routing alternate with at least one FMEA function.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, you will have entered information about one or more design or process FMEA failures for the selected FMEA function.
