Recommend Actions
Explanation
This activity is used to recommend actions that should be implemented in
order to prevent incidents from recurring.
Prerequisites
In order to perform this activity, you may want to have actions already
defined in the Safety Action Basic Data window. Otherwise you will
have to enter them manually or use the list of values or the Get Actions from Template
function.

Procedure
- Open the Incident
window. Ensure that the required incident case is selected in the header.
- Go to the Incident/Recommendation tab.
- In the Incident Corrective Action field, describe any corrective action
that should be taken for the incident.
- In the Incident Preventive Action field, describe any action that
should be taken in order to prevent the incident from recurring.
- In the Source of Help field, describe the source of support that should
be available when such an incident occurs.
- Go to the Safety Actions table.
- Create a new record in order to enter
the data manually or use the List of Values or right-click and click Get Actions from Template.
- Select a template of actions using the list and click OK.
- The template actions will be listed in the Actions table. All the
new actions will be with Planned status.
- Assign a person responsible for the action by entering a person ID in
the relevant field.
- You can also specify the target to complete the action and the priority
of the actions in the Target Completion and Action Priority
fields.
- You can enter additional comments in the Remark field.
- You can also manually define actions by creating new records in the
Actions table.
- Save the information.
