Enter Calculation Index
Explanation
Use this activity to enter information on a calculation index.
Prerequisites
Before information on a calculation index can be entered, the following must have been
completed:
- The company must exist in IFS Financials.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, the calculation index can be
used for recalculation of user-defined base values, e.g. insurance values. Such base
values are defined in the User-Defined Base Value Types window.
The values are then entered in the
Object
window,
the User-defined Base Values tab.

Procedure
Use the following procedure to enter a calculation index:
- Open
Calculation Index.
- Use the New function and enter the information. The first rows index value is considered
to be the base value or the original value for the index series.
- Before connecting the index to any objects, start by recalculating the first row.
- Use the New function and enter information for the first true recalculation. Only dates
later than the dates already entered can be specified.
- Save when finished.
In
Calculation Index
the following operation
is available:
- Recalculate Base Value. Used for recalculation of base values. All base values that
relate to this index are recalculated according to the date for the object. The
recalculation can be performed with only the latest entered index value. Select the
current row and select the operation by clicking the right mouse button.
