Enter Property Codes
Explanation
This activity is used to enter property codes and the property values that
belong to them.
A property is a unique detail relating to a fixed asset object such as the
registration number, manufacturer, motor number, unloaded weight etc. A property
code is a code for a particular property. Thus, one or more property values can
be defined for a property code. For example, a list of manufacturer IDs can be
entered as property values for a single property code that stands for the
manufacturer of the fixed asset object.
Prerequisites
In order to perform this activity,
- a company must exist in IFS Financials, and
- a code part of which the code part function is FA Accounting must
be defined in the Define Code String window.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- Property codes will be available to be connected to fixed asset objects
in the Object/Properties tab. Thus, it will be possible to
attribute the property values to individual fixed asset objects
- Property codes will be available to be connected to property templates.
Thus, it will be possible to organize the property codes in a way that a
selected list of property codes can be connected for all the objects within
an object group by default.
