Locational Structure
This is a physical structure, starting with a building, floor/level, and
rooms. Ending up with the actual equipment objects e.g. pumps, valves, and tanks
in the room where they are located. This enables work and preventive maintenance
to be monitored and planned by using equipment objects physical location in a
facility. For example, monitor and plan all work for equipment in a room.
The locational structure could be created in two different ways:
- Starting from the top with an existing functional object that is
represented by a building. Secondly, create the underlying child structure
with rooms and finally the equipment located in each room. Equipment entered
in the child structure will in this case be created and connected to the top
object in one single step.
- Starting from the bottom with a functional object represented by
equipment (pump, valve and tank etc.) and select an already existing top
object e.g. a room.
