Use this window to set a serial object to be maintenance aware. It is possible to maintain equipment objects, i.e., create PM actions and work orders, even though the objects do not yet exist in the facility. Such objects are moved to inventory, or delivered from design. Retrieve the part, use the Make Maintenance Aware operation to select the site, and confirm the information. Alternatively, you can select the site in the Site field by using List of Values and mark the box in the Maintenance Aware field before saving the information. The serial object is now connected to the selected site but is still placed in inventory.
