Define Survey Input Mask

Explanation

This activity is used to define input masks to questions and can be linked to questions in the Survey/Questions tab or Survey/Question Detail tab . Input masks can only be linked to questions of type Open-Ended. When defining input masks, symbols #,% and _ represents that a participant should enter a Number, Any value and a Letter, respectively as his/her answer on this particular question. Some examples of input masks that can be defined and the expected answers are as follows.

Once an input mask is assigned to a question it is a must that participant should adhere to this format.

Procedure

  1. Open the Survey Input Mask window and click New.
  2. Enter an identity in the Mask Name field.
  3. Enter the Mask you need to define.
  4. Enter a description which describe expectations of the mask at the time of participant answering the question, in the Description field.

Note : The Description will be used as an additional information to the survey participant in order to explain the input pattern expected by the input mask.
