Grant Data Registration Access Role

Explanation

This activity is used to grant employees the ability to register their own data. It is done through assignment of a data registration access role. This role allows employees to register their own data on the organization unit they are assigned to. It is possible to configure access role to be suggested by default every time an assignment to an organization unit is performed.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, an employee will be able to register his or her own data in areas of the application that are protected with access restrictions.

Procedure

To manually assign a registration role to an employee:

  1. Open the Employee window.
  2. Search or populate to find the relevant employee.
  3. Navigate through the Employment tab, through the Assignments tab, to the Organization tab.
  4. Add a new record.
  5. In the Organization Code field, enter the identifier of the organization unit to which you want to assign the employee.
  6. In the Role field, enter REG_NO_AUTH. You can use the list of values.
  7. In the Valid From and Valid To fields, enter the validity period for the assignment.
  8. Save the information.

To set automatic registration role suggestion:

  1. Open the Company Details window.
  2. Navigate to the Property tab and add a new record.
  3. In the Property Code field, enter DEFREGROLE. You can use the list of values.
  4. In the Property Value field, enter REG_NO_AUTH.
  5. In the Valid From and Valid To fields, enter the validity period for the property code.
  6. Save the information.
