Register Project Tag

Explanation

Tags are used to pinpoint the physical location of the item in the product and to define new tags for the delivery project. Tags are connected to items in Project Product/Items or in Project Item Navigator. The tags must be defined in Project Product/Tags before they can be tied to items. It is recommended that the part connected to a tag is of serial type, but it is not required. The tag can have a document survey; use the Connected Objects button to access the tag's document survey. The tag can also have characteristics.

The tag description, customer tag, and information fields can be modified.

All tags can be removed. Tags for a delivery project are automatically deleted, together with the delivery project. Tags tied to project items cannot be deleted. Any document survey for the tag is also automatically deleted with the tag.

Procedure

  1. Create a new record.
  2. Enter tag number and its description.
  3. Enter customer tag and other information in the relevant fields, if required.
  4. Save.
  5. To create a document survey for the tag, use the Attachments on task pane and insert documents in Documents.
