Delete Project Item

Explanation

Removes a specific project item from the project.

Prerequisites

• The project item to be removed cannot be used in any structures.
• The project item to be removed cannot be a standard planned component part of a standard planned sub-assembly project item with corresponding structure in both engineering and manufacturing.

System Effects

• The selected item is deleted from the project delivery structure.
• In Part Definition, the number of occurrences will be reduced for each item that is removed.
• The document survey, document requirements, spare part list, and journal for the item are removed.
• If the project item exists in Procured Material, the Item No field will be blank. This is because the item no longer exists in the project.

Procedure

• Select the item and click Delete. 
• If the project item exists in Project Product/Supply/Procured, the Item No field will be blank. This is because the item no longer exists in the project. See Remove Project Delivery Pegged Requests Activity for information on how to delete a request.
