After you have specified the parameters that determine how the server is going to work, you start the server. Note that you must specify an Oracle user who can read/save data from the database. This user must be the IFS Application owner. The first time you start the server, no forecast data is present in the database. If you have defined jobs to be run, the server will run these jobs at the specified start date and time. You also can start all the jobs manually from the server GUI the first time. Remember to load data into the server before running the other jobs; otherwise, the other jobs will not start.
