Lock Server

Explanation

Use this activity to lock the demand plan server and to view a read-only display of the forecast. You are not permitted to change the forecast when the server is locked.  This is usually done after a forecast is approved for a period and other modules in IFS applications have imported the forecasts. The server is unlocked automatically when the Create Forecast job is run.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that data must be loaded into the forecast server.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, you are not permitted to change the forecast in the server.

Procedure

1. The schedule for locking the server is established in Forecast Server Setup/Scheduling. If the field Scheduled Date/Time is empty, type a valid date/time when you want the job to run the first time. You also must set up the intervals in which you want the job performed. 
2. You also can perform this activity from the forecast server menu System-Lock/Unlock Server.
