Forecast Writeback HD

Explanation

Use this activity to save forecast server contents to a hard drive on the forecast server computer.  This creates a backup file which can be used to restore the server to the exact same state as when the backup was performed. The path to which the backup file is saved is specified in the schedule setup for backup. The file name is the date and time of the backup.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that data must be loaded into the forecast server.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a backup file from which the server forecast can be restored is created.

Procedure

1. (The schedule for creating a forecast server backup file is established in Forecast Server Setup/Scheduling.) If the field Scheduled Date/Time is empty, type a valid date/time when you want the job to run the first time. You also must set up the intervals in which you want the job performed. 
2. You also can perform this activity from the forecast server menu File-Backup. To restore the settings of the forecast server from a backup file, select File-Restore in the forecast server menu and specify the file to restore.
