Forecast Writeback DB

Explanation

Use this activity to write back forecast server contents to the database.  Forecasts are not updated/available to other components in IFS Applications until a Forecast Writeback DB job is performed.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that data must be loaded into the forecast server.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the forecasts made in the forecast server are available for use by other IFS Application components.

Procedure

1. The schedule for the forecast writeback is established in Forecast Server Setup/Scheduling. If the field Scheduled Date/Time is empty, type a valid date/time when you want the job to run the first time. You also must set up the intervals in which you want the job performed. 
2. This activity also can be performed from the forecast server menu File-Upload to Oracle.  To read data from Oracle into the server, you must select File-Load data from db.
