Demand Plan Server/Server Dashboard
Usage
This window replaces the Demand Plan Server webpage.
Use this window examine the state for the Demand Plan Server, you can see if
the DP server is performing any jobs and the status and progress of these jobs.
You can also monitor the status of the IPR server and the status of the Write
back engine. In addition you can start most of the DP/IPR server jobs from here
manually. You also see all the messages logged by the server, it's possible to
filter on the messages (only display error messages or only display information
messages).

Activities
Fields
Job Used to manually start jobs that you want the server to perform
now.
- Stopping the DP Server: Closes down the DP Server
- Complete Writeback to Database: Writes back all the data in the DP
server to the database regardless if it has been changed or not
- Qualify: Fills the forecast part register with parts that qualify as forecast parts, and
deletes forecast parts that no longer qualify as parts. (Forecast parts are parts that are
going to have forecasts generated for them.)
- Aggregate daily: This
job also aggregates the present period so you can see how much demand is used up to the
current day.
- Create Forecast: Aggregates demand by period through the end of the previous period, and
then creates a forecast starting with the present period.
- Refresh DP Data: Syncs the Demand Plan Server with the
database, parts that have been deleted from the overview forecast parts
window in IFS EE will after this job be removed from the DP Server / Client.
Parts that are added will be visible.
- Retry : Makes the DP server try to retry to connect to
the database, after having lost connection to it.
- Lock Server: Locks the forecast server to prevent updates. The
server is unlocked after the next forecast run. Run again to unlock.
- Refresh IPR Data: Reads all changes done in the IPR
planning hierarchy, will also fetch new inventory parts that have planning
method B, and remove the ones that have got another planning method set.
- Send Auto Trolleys: Send out a Trolley for all trolleys
that are defined as automatic.
- Define budget base: Sets the budget line equal to the adjusted forecast,
for all parts. This will then be a base line for copying down budget values
from aggregated levels, to get a more 'accurate' budget on each SKU/flow.
- Define target sales plan base: Sets the target sales plan line equal to
the adjusted forecast, for all parts. This will then be a base line for
copying down target sales plan values from aggregated levels, to get a more
'accurate' target sales plan on each SKU/flow.
- Delete unused seasonal profiles: Deletes all seasonal profiles that are
not connected to any parts.
- Complete DP Data Refresh: Empties the entire DP
Server and loads all the data from scratch. (will take much longer time than
the Refresh DP Data job)
- Turn On IPR Simulation Mode: Sets the IPR server into simulation mode,
so that it does not write back any computed results to the database, allows
for changes to the planning parameters (hierarchy or individual parts)
without messing up the current stock levels. You need to use the excel sheet
to examine the results. Refresh IPR etc works as before.
- External Export: Performs the external export command
defined in the Only External Import / Export field.
- External Import: Imports records put in
FORECAST_DAY_IMPORT view. See
Import.
