Enter Code String Completion Information

Explanation

Use this activity to enter and view code string completion information. This mandatory task is to be performed by a system administrator or equivalent person.

Prerequisites

• The company must exist in IFS Financials.
• The code part values to be used in the code string completion must have been entered in the Accounts window or in the Code Part Values window in IFS/Accounting Rules.

System Effects

• The system will use the code string completion information when the financial transactions are created.
• The Code String Completion Exist check box in the Code Part Values window in IFS/Accounting Rules is selected.

Procedure

1. Open the Run Code String Completion window from the Account, Accounts or Code Part Values windows in IFS/Accounting Rules. 
2. In the Code Part Value field, query for the code part value on which to enter or view code string completion information. Note: You can also query for existing code string completions in the Code String Completion Analysis window.
3. To enter code string completion information, right-click in the first row in the window and then click New.
4. Save the changes.
